Coming Soon: Google FOIA Archive
GTP to release thousands of pages of government documents detailing Google's influence

Google Transparency Project filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with dozens of public institutions to learn more about Google's interactions with the government. The documents that we received in response include emails between Google representatives and top-ranking government officials, millions of dollars in government contracts, exchanges about sponsored research, meeting records, and other evidence that Google wields enormous influence over the nation's public policy.

Readers will be invited to join in the effort of combing through this massive trove of data for evidence of Google's influence on public life. Check back for this and more as we continue to uncover elements of Google's influence machine.

Update: The FOIA Archive is available here: https://www.googletransparencyproject.org/search-foia-archive
